Sometimes I need to set the loud electric guitars to the side and play my acoustic for a little bit.

Black Belt Promotion

I started practicing jiu-jitsu back in August of 2002.  After many years of training I was awarded my Black Belt on October 22nd 2021.

SWOLA 63

Here's my entry for SWOLA 63.  Don't worry, I'll get back to posting about running soon.  My Headlands 150 video has been done for a few weeks.  I just need to post it.  I also have a marathon and maybe a 100k coming up soon.

My entry for Sunday With Ola SWOLA 62.  I'm glad I started doing these.  They are super fun and it's been giving me time to get better at recording my guitar and bass as well.

Dreams (10-07-21)

Last night's dream...

I'm in the kitchen making dinner. Nothing out of the ordinary. I say, "Alexa, open Pandora."  Alexa replies with, "opening David's 'Heavy Metal Station' on Pandora Radio." 

At this moment Pearl Jam comes on.  My first reaction is to think, "what the fuck, Alexa is playing my 'Gym Station' not my 'Heavy Metal Station' right now.  I look at the display and it says "David's Heavy Metal Station" but for some reason Pearl Jam is playing.  

At this point I'm really trying to figure out what is going on. I like Pearl Jam, but they don't belong on this Station.  The more I think about it the more I know this song doesn't belong here.

I tell myself, "this is a dream, that's the only thing that makes sense."  Then I wake up.
