My Next Long Run & Fundraiser

On Saturday April 2nd I will be running from Visalia, to Reedley, to Parlier, Kingsburg, to Fowler, and then to Fresno.  I will visit each cities Buddhist Temple along my journey.  The entire trip will take about 70 miles and hopefully 15ish hours.

This event will be a fundraiser for our local Buddhist community.  All the money raised will go towards Buddhist education here in the Central Valley.

I recently have gotten back into Buddhism and attended a month Zoom meeting that the local Buddhist Temple hosts.  I feel like this fundraiser is my way to give back to the group.  I also hope that it will bring awareness to the local Buddhist culture to anyone who has been interested in learning about Buddhism, but wasn't sure where to go or how to get started.

My Birthday Run

 Last year I ran 200 miles in the Marin Headlands as a fundraiser for the We Defy Foundation on my birthday.  This year I'm running 70 miles from Visalia to Fresno, and a few towns in between, as a fundraiser for our local Central Valley Buddhist Community.  All the money raised will go towards their Ministry program.

I'll post more info about this run tomorrow.  I've been slowly getting my mileage back up, and I might even start writing more about my training and running as well.

I can't wait to tackle 70 miles this coming April 2nd.

I'm so happy that I started playing the guitar again, and the bass too.  I've never really been a bass player.  I picked up this low budget Ibanez bass years ago.  It was just a way for me to try and lay down bass tracks over my guitar stuff.  I have to say, I'm having fun playing around on the bass as well.

Fast turnaround on this one.  These were easier to do when they were biweekly.  I'm really having to figure out how to budget my time to do these every week.

I busted out one of my all time favorite guitars today.  My Gibson 67 Flying V.
