05-26-19 Headlands 100 Training Update
I didn't make a video last week, and I almost didn't make one this week, but I decided I needed to. My training has not been what I was expecting over the last 2 weeks. My injury is still keeping me from running at the volume of miles that I need to. My longest run over the last 2 weeks was 5.5 miles last week, and then a 4 mile power walk yesterday.
I haven't been taking care of my injury in the manner that I need to. I've been neglecting my nightly massage, ice treatment, not taking anything to help with the inflammation in my tendon... I've just been tired of dealing with this.
This week I need to turn everything around. I need to start meditating again, taking care of my mental and physical health, and getting back into training mode. I know how much a 100 mile event will take out of me, and if I don't get my shit together this race is going to really suck. I really want my 10th time at Headlands 100 to be enjoyable.
Sometimes it's hard to get motivated when you have be absent from something for so long. I really need to find the motivation to get ready for this coming September.

March 14th 2019 Only 4 months until Headlands 100 (2019 Edition)
I haven't written anything on here in a long time. I've been dealing with an injury for the last several months and haven't ran much at all. Headlands 100 is only 4 months away from today, so I need to start getting ready for it. I know that my training will have to be very different this year compared to previous years.
I'm going to try to do weekly updates on my training and progress. I'm basically starting from zero right now. I ran 6 miles today, and the last mile really sucked. I'm very far from being able to run 100 miles again, but I know what I need to do to get there again.
